FAQs

GENERAL

Hi! I am new to sauna! What is expected when I sign up for an open sauna session?

We love for our guests to feel comfortable and happy- these tips make everyone’s experience more enjoyable:

  • Two towels are expected for guests. One for sitting on, and one for staying dry. Bring your own scent-free towels. Rentals also available onsite

  • Towels are required for sitting on inside the sauna in order to maintain a comfortable and clean environment for all guests

  • Please arrive clean and rinse off prior to entering the cold plunges and soaking tubs

  • Please leave shoes on mats outside of the sauna

  • Please ladle a little water onto the rocks when you enter and exit a sauna occupied by other guests to help maintain a constant temperature and humidity within the sauna

  • Please be mindful of other guests and their preference for a quiet session or a social visit

I have questions about your sauna club memberships. Where can I get more information?

How do you keep your saunas clean?

We use only non-toxic cleaners inside the sauna- for the health of our saunas and our guests and perform regular cleaning and maintence thru out the day and between private rentals. In addition, the high temperatures inside the sauna prevents bacteria and viruses from surviving on sauna surfaces or in the heated sauna air. As a result, our sauna users encounter a clean and comfortable environment… and often comment on the wonderful smell of fresh cedar and pine as they enter the sauna.

How do you regulate the temperature within a wood-fired sauna?

Our saunas typically reach 70-90C over the course of 1-2 hours. Once in this range, the sauna heat can be easily maintained by adding additional firewood when the sauna stove is low. Heat can be increased above this range by adding additional wood more frequently, dampening down the flue, and adding water to the sauna rocks. Reducing sauna heat is as simple as leaving the exterior door ajar.

How do I make a reservation?

Open sauna sessions are reserved thru our home page and online reservation calendar.

Private rentals are booked thru our inquiry page links. We will inquire about the type of rental, duration, and guest count. We will put together a rental agreement and a 50% payment is required to confirm your reservation. The remainder of the rental fee is due in advance of the sauna delivery date.

SAUNA RENTAL & DELIVERY QUESTIONS

How difficult is it to fire-up a wood-burning stove?

Our wood-burning stoves are known for being some of the most efficient sauna stoves on the market. This means that once the stove is lit, very little maintenance is needed to bring the sauna up to the desired temperature. On average 3-4 logs need to be added between lighting & using the sauna. If you have never used a stove before, you will still be able to operate this sauna. Each sauna delivery includes hands-on instruction for how to light & operate the sauna, as well as a guide manual which details the operating instructions and reminders.

Where can we place the sauna trailer?

Toasty Sauna trailers can be parked just about anywhere. In general, we require about a 12’ height clearance, fairly flat/level ground, and a minimum of 10ft width so that your guests can comfortably navigate to the doors. Length requirements depend on the size of the sauna. More information can be found here in our Sauna Trailer Guide.

Does someone need to be onsite when the sauna is delivered?

It is not required for someone to be onsite, but we highly recommend it. If someone is unable to meet us at the delivery location we request for the drop of location to be clearly marked and to have at least 1 backup location in case the first location is unsuitable. We also like to meet our clients and show them how to operate the sauna.
